Well worth the read

At first I wasn't too sure about this book. Introducing two separate tribes jumping back-and-forth from one to the other was confusing me. Once I was better acquainted with the characters and their tribes , the book really took off and I couldn't put it down. There was a lot of substance to the story . A lot happened and I noticed I was only a third of the way in the book. I was happy about that. As the story unfolds, you really get invested in the characters. There is an unexpected plot twist that I won't ruin, but I will say I wasn't happy about it. It turned out to be integral to the story however, so now it makes sense to me. I just finished this book and am going right on to the next book in the series. I hope it's as engrossing as the first one was.

I got this book free for my Kindle and I love it. I bought the other books in the series too. If you like Jean Auel's book Clan of the Cave Bear then you are going to enjoy this book!

Huge book. Really enjoyed it. Two separate stories about the Neanderthals and then the Homo sapiens and how they meet. I specially love reading about the stories of the women and the way they may have lived.
